About the initiative

The special Indigenous Fellowship Initiative will connect eight leaders from Canada’s Indigenous performing arts sector with Latin America’s cultural community and the International Society for the Performing Arts’ (ISPA) extensive international network of arts professionals.

Participants will join the ISPA membership and attend the 2019 Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico, where they will engage in the development and exchange of ideas with leaders from some of Latin America and the world's most significant presenting organizations, performing arts organizations, artist management agencies, cultural policy groups, foundations, festivals and related professionals.

This initiative is offered by ISPA in partnership with the Canada Council for the Arts.
