The Saskatchewan Arts Board is pleased to announce the short-listed nominees for the 2017 Saskatchewan Arts Awards and the recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Presented by the Arts Board, these awards celebrate the contributions and achievements of individuals, groups and organizations in all arts disciplines.

Arts and Learning

Recipients will be announced at the awards event on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the Remai Modern in Saskatoon. Recipients are awarded a limited-edition sculpture by Saskatchewan artist Jody Greenman-Barber and a cash prize.

The evening’s host is Saskatoon comedian, actor and author Dawn Dumont. Entertainment will include performances by Native American flute player Jason Chamakese, bass player Felipe Gomez, Little Opera on the Prairie, jazz musician Dean McNeill and more.There will also bea display of Jack Sures’ artwork from the Saskatchewan Arts Board’s Permanent Collection.
